Coronal Loops of a Solar Active Region
Coronal Loops of a Solar Active Region

A set of randomly chosen magnetic coronal loops of a solar active region are modeled by two pairs of dipoles using force-free magnetic fields (FFFs). The 3D printing files (STL) were generated by Mathematica (a programming code). For the base of 20 by 20 units, the FFF parameter is 0.2. The overall set is designed as an educational-outreach program to teach the science and geometry of the heated coronal magnetic loops associated with a solar active region. Related NASA orbiting solar observatories are on NASA 3D Print pages.
