Eta Carinae's Colliding Stellar Winds Low Mass-Loss Rate Version
Eta Carinae's Colliding Stellar Winds Low Mass-Loss Rate Version

Eta Carinae is the most luminous and massive stellar system within 10,000 light-years. It contains two stars with masses 90 and 30 times greater than the Sun's, whose eccentric orbits bring them unusually close every 5.5 years. It is also extremely volatile and is expected to have at least one supernova explosion in the future.
